Be prepared to hear about (if you're paying attention) how this current administration is planning to be sending out plenty of 'gifts' from our national treasury. But no worries, we have overdraft protection.....we'll just continue to borrow from China, along with printing the money we don't have too!
Our Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi is basking in the glory of the passage of this healthcare bill in the House of Representatives. As we all know, it's not a done deal yet, as it has to go through more conferences and the Senate. But she's hoping by Christmas, the passage of, what will probably be a totally new and reconfigured bill, will be our "gift" for Christmas. Ironically, it will be a "gift" that you and I will be charged for.
I don't know how this will all play out, but get ready for new attempts at legislation that may not set well with many of us. I feel like I am in a boxing match, where I'm on the receiving end of one body blow after another. So get ready for climate change "cap and trade" taxation next, along with this Copenhagen treaty "climate debt" they think we supposedly owe 3rd world nations, if that's signed in early December. This treaty is more about giving away our sovereign authority. As I understand it, it will be the U.S. submitting to a 'one world' rule. If signed, we will be agreeing to these 'gift' giveaways, which we will send out to other countries that have been 'damaged' by the 'bad' American polluters. Meanwhile, we'll have our electric rates going up from the cap and trade, all while many of us are out of work! Let's see if our president can get China to sign onto this too, as they are much worse at having pollution restrictions, than us.
Then it will be pushing for all of the illegals to be included in our goody bag of 'gifts' along with an extra gift of immigration amnesty. Let's not forget the "debt" we owe to our native American Indians too. On a day of a national travesty at Ft. Hood, our president asked the networks for time to make his comments. He took, what seemed to be an eternity, to get to the point. While addressing native Americans at this conference, he first took his sweet time thanking this one and that one and giving 'shout outs' to all of the dignitaries at the conference, before he even began speaking about Ft. Hood. Then he was quick to say that we should not jump to conclusions about the obvious perpetrator. Yet, if you rewind the clock back to the 'beer summit', his early reaction to that particular incident was that the police acted stupidly. Was that not jumping to conclusions before knowing all the facts? He seemed quick to judge the police, but not a Muslim in the Army, who allegedly made a jihadist 'shout out' to Allah before he began shooting his defenseless Army comrades.
So the Democrats will continue to tax and spend us into oblivion. And they don't want to give these "gifts" we're paying for just to Americans, like I stated above. This ideology of giving these certain Guantanamo detainees a trial where they will receive our civilian rights, just to prove to the world how great we treat our enemy combatants, is absurd. It is a slap in the face to the families who lost loved ones on 9/11. It will also cost the American taxpayer dearly. We can only imagine how much the court costs and security will be. This will also give a platform in the courtroom for the accused to spout their jihadist hatred for America, which will no doubt be played on the evening newscasts. We know there will not be any guilt or remorse coming from these individuals. Also, the lawyers defending them will, in a roundabout way, be putting our past administration and CIA operatives on trial instead. This is a victory for the leftists, and will enable them to highlight all that they hated about our interrogation policies, and will have that testimony thrown out or considered inadmissable in court. In my opinion, giving these individuals this civilian trial, in New York no less, is a 'gift' to all those who hate America.....and at the American taxpayer's expense! And isn't it ironic too, that this announcement was made by Atty. General Eric Holder on a Friday afternoon, while the President was out of the country? It's like dropping a bomb, when you hope no one will notice, and when the one who 'gave the order' was far, far away. I guess that was our Friday the thirteenth 'gift'!
So the struggling American taxpayer will be footing the bill for all of these 'gifts' that this current administration deems necessary. What's amazing to me is that all of this is being pushed through while we're still experiencing continued job losses. Who's going to pay for all of this, when there are so many out of work? What's even more amazing is that these liberal progressives are reaching out for sugguestions from Republicans now on how to restart the economy! I guess that proves the Dems know how to spend, but they don't know how to 'stimulate' job growth in our teetering economy. We must remember these wise words from a former President that our current President claims to admire....
